About Us

The three of us met a few years ago (probably 2003 or so) at a festival in Houston (SAMFest...which is no longer), and then continued to see each other at various workshops, mostly via Peggy Carter.....and eventually it seemed appropriate that we try our talents together......with Peggy's encouragement, we did just that! Apparently it worked out well since we enjoy our music together and practice is more like FUN for as many hours as we can squeeze in!

We all hail from around Houston, Texas....at least that's where we live......originally, Suzanne is from Missouri, Ingrid is from Germany and Kathy from Nebraska. We are all married with children (well, Suzanne's "kids" at home are all 4-legged, but still qualify!).

How do we see ourselves and each other in the trio? Well, here's how it seems to have worked out: Suzanne is the creative one, putting together the arrangements and addicted to fingerpicking. Ingrid is our theory expert and the fastest fingers in the group! Kathy is our bass line provider, preferring the deeper tones of her baritone dulcimer and octave mando.
